水处理设备的选择要本着以保证人们用水安全的原则，因此在对水处理工艺进行选择时需做到以下几点：
The selection of water treatment equipment shall be based on the
principle of ensuring the safety of people's water use, so the following
points shall be achieved when selecting the water treatment process:
(1)不管是采用任何技术、工艺，水处理后其水质都要达到国家规定的生活饮用水标准。
(1) No matter what technology or process is used, the water quality
after treatment shall meet the national standard for drinking water.
(2)技术安全可靠性原则。目前，尽管我国关于水处理的技术和设备有很多种，但是要从众多的技术理论和设备中选择技术最为先进及安全可靠性最高的设备。
(2) Principle of technical safety and reliability. At present, although
there are many kinds of water treatment technologies and equipment in
China, we should choose the equipment with the most advanced technology
and the highest safety and reliability from many technical theories and
equipment.
(3)设备运行费用最低原则。针对我国偏远、经济欠发达地区，如果水处理设备运行费用过高，超出了当地人民的经济承担能力，即使是水处理建设工程建设完工，也会因为高昂的设备运行费用当地人民承担不起而失去建设的意义。所以在水处理设备工程建设时一定要考虑到设备运行费用问题。
(3) The principle of minimum equipment operation cost. For the remote
and economically underdeveloped areas in China, if the operation cost of
water treatment equipment is too high, which exceeds the economic
affordability of local people, even if the construction of water
treatment projects is completed, it will lose the significance of
construction because the local people cannot afford the high operation
cost of equipment. Therefore, the equipment operation cost must be taken
into account during the construction of water treatment equipment
project.

equipment technical management personnel, the normal operation and
management of equipment will not be guaranteed.
